Network Engineer

NetServe365 provides managed IT solutions that enable small and mid-sized organizations to focus their resources on the important aspects of information systems that are strategic to the organization. We manage hundreds of servers, firewalls, switches, routers and other network devices from our 24x7x365 operations center located near Pittsburgh International Airport. We are looking for someone that can hit the ground running, providing top-notch technical support and assistance to our managed services clients.

Leveraging experience and technical expertise, the Network Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Build/Design/Re-Design customer networks
  • Troubleshoot and resolve networking related issues in customer networks
  • Configure, install, upgrade/update, maintain client routers, switches and firewalls
  • Implement projects sold in Voice/Networking/Security
  • Provide Presales support for Sales Team on the following:
    • Cisco Network/Security/Wireless Products
    • Extreme Networks/Juniper/Brocade Network/Security Products
    • Fortigate Security Products
    • General Network Architecture

Work experience requirements: 

  • 3+ years of experience designing, administering, and managing LAN/WAN (Preferred)
  • Experience in supporting and troubleshooting large, complex LAN/WAN networks
  • WAN technologies knowledge is a must (MPLS, IPVPN, MAN, T1, Ethernet/Fiber)
  • Extensive Experience (2+ years) with Cisco routing and switching infrastructure in a multi-protocol environment (Preferred)
  • Experience with Cisco wireless controllers and access points
  • Ability to respond to on-call/on-site situations within required SLA parameters
  • Extensive administration experience with IP, DHCP, DNS
  • Extensive knowledge of routing Protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with OPSEC/VPN technology
  • Experience with IPS/IDS, Firewall, DMZ, VPN, ISP, and Radius
  • Positive, proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead when required, and as a participant in a team environment
  • Willingness to participate in rotating schedules and share on-call duties

Education Requirements: 

  • College Degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalent work experience (3+ years)
  • CCNA required
  • CCNP desirable
