Job Description:

  • Handle Tier 1 help desk escalations through tickets or phone
  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Follow standard helpdesk procedures
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
  • Log all help desk interactions
  • Redirect problems to correct resource
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Inform management of recurring problems

Work experience requirements:

  • 6 months – 1 year experience in NOC, network help desk, or relevant customer service skills
  • 6 months – 1 year experience with Microsoft Windows 2003/2008/2012 and Active Directory
  • 6 months – 1 year experience with MS Office Suite
  • Prior help desk experience
  • 6 months – 1 year experience working experience supporting Windows 7 and Office 365

Skills Required:

  • Able to work independently as well in a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills. – Must be able to think outside the box
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication. – Must be able to communicate at all organizational levels

Education Requirements:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

Special Requirements:

The Help Desk Specialist must be flexible to work all shifts. This position requires employee to work from the Robinson, PA office.
